 I made this embroidery a couple of years ago about my mother, and thought that Mothers Day was a good day to add it to my blog. It is a collage of various materials and embroidery which represent things about her.  I lost her back in 1990 and think of her still so much.

The piece includes fabric and paper, hand and machine embroidery, photo transfer, silk flowers, button and beads.

More details of the embroidery showing a bee (she was a very busy bee!) which was an automatic embroidery sown onto water soluble material.

Chicken Peg Bag

Finished! One of two chicken peg bags I made for the" For Sale" table for our up and coming Quilt Show in  April. More information about that will be coming soon.

Embroidered Dress

I visited the Knitting and Stitching show last weekend and saw the most beautiful embroidered dress made by Sophie Prentice, who won the National Fashion Textile Competition.

The texture created and embroidered detail is gorgeous.  A well deserved winner!
