My Favourite Mug Quilt
I have finally gotten around to photographing the quilt which I entered into the Festival of Quilts. It was inspired by a favourite mug which I bought on a trip to Helsinki in Finland. I also did some of the design work while I was enjoying a weekend with Janet Edmonds at Missenden Abbey on the Taking Textiles Further Course.

Taking Textiles Further
I recently attended Missenden Abbey, on the third weekend of the year of Taking Textiles Further; a master class with Janet Edmonds. We were instructed to use tints and shades of one colour and if we liked we could add white and black as well. We then had to explore making small samples of different 3D techniques using our chosen theme, which for me was a return to apple blossom. I explored weaving, looping and layering as well as other techniques.

Missenden Abbey
Spent the weekend at Missenden Abbey, Bucks on Janet Edmond's quarterly "Taking Textile Further" course. I had a great time exploring shades and tints of black and white in design, and then trying out some of my small pieces in stitch.
