Sweatshirt Top by "Make Me Something"

This is a new tunic top I have made from a great pattern by " Make Me Something" called the "Julia Top". The ant covered soft lined sweatshirt fabric was perfect for the design, though I had to widen the sleeves slightly to accommodate the thickness of the fabric.

The shape is loose and boxy and this is the cowl neck version of the pattern.

Knitted Shawl "Fortingall"

I knitted this shawl at the end of last winter from a pattern called "Fortingall" by Louisa Harding.

The wool used was Amitola Grande which was variegated and very soft to the touch.

Detail of the bottom edge.
The pattern was taken from Louisa Harding's book "Aberfeldy".

The 10 Year Stitch 1

TextileArt07 group which was started at the end of City and Guild machine embroidery courses  run by Sandra Hardy, has now been together for 10 years.

The members created work that was inspired with the celebration theme, or their favourite techniques learnt over the period.

My photography was restricted by the angles of the work and the reflections from the hall windows on framed pieces.  I apologise to the artists.

An overall view.

Winter Wall Hanging 4

My wall hanging is really coming together now.
The last corner to be attached.
The hanging is now assembled and ready to layer and quilt.  I am going to machine quilt first and then add some hand embroidery and embellishments for extra interest.
